The Restaurant
Open the red-lacquered door of Jeanty at Jack's, and you might think you've been whisked away to a classic Parisian brasserie, glowing with dark wood, warm brass, and crisp black and white tile. In a way, you'd be right...

A Sense of Place
In 1864, George Viges, recently immigrated from France to pursue his fortune in the wake of the Gold Rush, erected Jack's in the style of the Paris restaurants he knew so well. Named after the jackrabbits that once frolicked in open fields nearby, the red-brick restaurant was destroyed in the great earthquake of '06 and rebuilt shortly thereafter. Jack's, now Jeanty at Jack's, is essentially as it was over 140 years ago - a bit of French soul in the heart of San Francisco.

The Bistro
Like many of George Voge's beloved Paris restaurants, Jeanty at Jack's offers a variety of dining atmospheres. On the ground floor is a bustling bistro venue, perfect for a business lunch or an afternoon espresso at the antique bar. The Bistro has been a perennial favorite of The City's elite, from Mark Twain to Herb Caen.

The Mezzanine
Up the brass-railed staircase is the Mezzanine, an intimate corner tucked comfortably under The Bistro's 14-foot ceiling and overlooking the action below. Legend has it that here, surrounded by hand-sculpted wall reliefs (including the namesake jackrabbits), Ingrid Bergman lobbied Ernest Hemingway to start in For Whom the Bell Tolls.

The Salon
On the second floor is the Salon, a Spacious dining room that can be divided into two or three more intimate rooms by means of hand-painted folding doors. The space has a warm, Maison Bourgeois feel perfect for relaxed dining, but in Gold Rish days, this floor was divided into a warren of smaller rooms available for pleasures of a distinctly different kind.

Second-floor dining rooms
Salon accommodates up to 35 guests.
Two Rooms accommodate up to 16 guests.
One room accommodates up to 8 guests.

The Atrium
The piece de resistance of Janty at Jack's is the third-floor Atrium. This expansive room is enhanced by a skylighted room for alfresco-style dining year-round. Decorated with a grape vine motif and an antique Parisian ice cream cart to give the room a bit of whimsy, the Atrium is Jeanty at Jack's at its most elegant.

Third-floor dining room accommodates up to 60 guests.
