The Homestead
A very private and romantic Yosemite lodging getaway on 160 acres, surrounded by nature and nurtured by owners that care about the quality of your time at The Homestead.
Larry and Cindy built The Homestead to provide a peaceful and relaxing getaway, so that you can return to your daily life rejuvenated and refreshed. We welcome guests from all walks of life that are seeking accommodations where privacy and quiet are treasured. We believe in always being "available" to assist you in any way, but to never be "in your way".
Our guests are honeymooners, those celebrating special occasions, and outdoor adventurers who love hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, bird watching. An appreciation of our blend of a mountain setting with luxury accommodations brings our guests back quite often. Most use their Homestead Cottage as home base for visiting Yosemite. From our location you have easy access to two entrances to Yosemite.
Guest Rooms
All six guest accommodations have their own unique charm. The four one bedroom cottages, Country, Garden, Native American and Adobe were hand built by owners Larry & Cindy in 1992 and feature natural pine woodwork, wood vaulted ceilings and saltillo tile floors. The Star Gazing Loft was added in 1995 for those who didn't need all the amenities of our cottages. Just opened in 2004 is The Ranch House, a two bedroom/two bathroom accommodation perfect for families. Wood floors, maple cabinets and warm colors grace this newest addition. A trademark of The Homestead is that every accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen stocked daily with coffees, teas, hot chocolate, milk, juice, muffins, fruit & granola. Each accommodation also has its own private setting area. A gas barbecue and picnic table is available to all guests.
