Library and Rare Wines
The enjoyment of fine aged wine is one of life’s great pleasures. We’re proud to offer an ongoing Library of our Bordeaux style wines in limited quantities.
1990 Cabernet Franc
You won’t believe how beautifully this Cab Franc is drinking now. Bright fruit and detail with a firm, fleshy mouth-feel. Just enough earthy, antique leather and exotic spice to tell you it has spent some time in the bottle.
750 ml $64.20
1991 Cabernet Franc
Our Cabernet Franc ages slowly. This ten- year old plus example is proof in the bottle. At this age it is starting to show what it has in common with the profound Chinon wine from the Loire Valley more so than the Cab Franc wines from Bordeaux region. This wine is extremely food friendly. Simple grilled or roast meats with a bit of spice will do the trick!
750 ml $58.25
1992 Cabernet Franc
This Cab Franc is the winemaker’s choice right now. Open bottles of this wine seem to emerge whenever we’re showing off! It is drinking beautifully now and has all the signs for an even longer life. A stellar example of how good this grape variety can age.
750 ml $52.95
1996 Cabernet Franc
Another fine Cab Franc that’s been locked away in our library waiting for some unsuspecting Cab Franc neophyte to wander in. Dazzlingly bright fruit purity and clean berry flavors leave a clean long finish. Duck breast and dried cherry would be a good choice. Give it a try.
750 ml $43.95
1999 Cabernet Franc
Fresh fruit with spicy highlights. Perfect for dressing up the backyard barbeque or drinking with that garlicky roast chicken. A great candidate for the cellar. It will improve for 5-10 years.
750 ml $35.70
2000 Cabernet Franc
If you are not sure which wine to pour with dinner, this Cab Franc will most likely do the trick. It goes well with just about anything! Red raspberry, fresh ground pepper and creamy oak overtones on the nose. Fleshy red plum, red currant and spicy oak on the lip smacking finish.
750 ml $33.55
1990 Red Table Wine
This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Each variety brings its own flavors and dimension to the whole making for one well rounded, thoroughly enjoyable wine. A must for anyone who likes mature Bordeaux style wines.
750 ml $63.95
1992 Red Table Wine
A whiff of earth, licorice and exotic wood followed by dark flavors, refined by a few years in the bottle. Our Red Table Wine is always a crowd pleaser
750 ml $58.50
1993 Red Table Wine
This wine drinks like a fine bottle of Bordeaux! Cassis, cocoa, plum and cherry fruit. Like all of Richard’s wines, this one has nice detail and dimension. Finishing with dusty tannins and mineral richness.
750 ml $47.95
1998 Red Table Wine
This style of wine is all the rage with the wine elite. Sometimes call Meritage or simply Red Wine; Red Table Wine is a classification that allows the winemaker the freedom to blend the perfect wine. The style is bold and complete with lots of complexity. Our Red Table Wine is very enjoyable upon release but seems to pick up steam with a few years in the bottle.
750 ml $39.95

1990 Cabernet Sauvignon
1990 was a classic vintage here in Napa Valley and a great for us. This wine is a classic example of Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. There is very little of this wine available and it’s drinking wonderfully now. Get some while you can!
750 ml $69.60
1992 Cabernet Sauvignon
A single taste of this wine brings back great memories of just how much fun it was to grow grapes here in the early nineties. Hopefully winegrowing is something we keep getting better at. This wine is one of our favorites, truly a wine made in the vineyard. Classic Cabernet dimension and aging.
750 ml $57.75
1996 Cabernet Sauvignon
It is always fun to check in on a wine as it develops. We are guessing that our ‘96 Cab will reach full maturity sometime around the year 2010. If you buy a case you can taste a couple with each passing year and revel in the change.
750 ml $47.85
1997 Cabernet Sauvignon
This may be the vintage of the decade like all the wine writers reported. You have the chance to taste for yourself what all the hubbub was about! Ours is classic Diamond Mountain Cab. Dark color, rich cherry, cedar, cassis & mineral. Still a baby, drink some now and put some in the cellar.
750 ml $43.20
1998 Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Vintages produce an embarrassment of riches here in California’s ideal climate. It’s enough to put a wine scribe out of business or die of boredom. Much has been said in the valley about how the wine media trashed this vintage. We could tell you this vintage is as good as anything we’ve made but nothing is as much of fun as opening a bottle and seeing for yourself! Trademark fresh fruit with loads of spice. Aging wonderfully.

2000 Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2000 Cabernet may be our best effort ever with this variety. Berry patch and dried flower aromas leads to a mouthwatering medium/full bodied wine packed with red fruit and spice. Refined flavors, fine tannins and plenty of core fruit for the long haul. Diamond Mountains Best Buy Cabernet!
750 ml $35.10
2001 Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2001 Cabernet looks vibrant and alive in the glass. The rich dark colors with ruby highlights are inviting! The wine is aromatic and youthful with cherry, red plum and vanilla spice. On the palate the flavors are focused and balanced. Ripe and rich cherry, a touch of chocolate, black currant and just the right amount of new oak. The easy tannins and nice acidity suggest 5-15 years of enjoyment and an affinity for any foods classic Cabernet Sauvignon goes well with. Try it with Rack of Lamb or a Holiday Roast.
750 ml $31.90
1992 Merlot
This wine should put to rest any doubts about Napa Merlot being the “drink it young only” little brother of Cabernet. It may have more in common with wine made in Pomerol than the no frills Merlot that were fashionable a few years back. Black fruit, saddle leather, earth and oak integration are featured here. Pour it in the cooler months with an aromatic roast.
750 ml $68.35
1994 Merlot
Our 1994 Merlot has more in common with fine Bordeaux than most of the Merlot made in the new world. This is truly Merlot for Cabernet lovers. 1994 was heralded as a classic vintage in Napa Valley and all these years later we can still taste what all the excitement was about. In fact, with black cherry, shaved dark chocolate, cedar box, antique leather, and impressive structure, this wine has come into its own. A wonderful example of aged Merlot.
750 ml $61.95
1995 Merlot
Our Merlot from 1995 is dark and dense. Serious wine. A good reading wine! We recommend taking a bottle home to your favorite spot, getting out some good cheese and hunker in with one of the classics. Words of warning, these activities (or lack thereof) could result in extreme relaxation followed by the onset of a nap!
750 ml $56.00
2000 Merlot
This wine represents small batch winemaking at its best! Lush cherry fruit, plum and toasty oak accents with all the depth and character you expect from our hillside vineyards. Drink some now and put some in the cellar. Get it while you can!
