About the Owner:
Dauphine Press, founded in 1999 by graphic designer Trish Kinsella, is a letterpress design and print studio. An experienced graphic designer, Trish has worked with a corporate client list that includes, among others, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and the Gap. Trish became captivated by letterpress printing while designing her own wedding invitations, and eventually turned her talent and attention to the contemporary revival of this centuries old craft. "I wanted to be a part of bringing letterpress printing back into the American vernacular. It's too wonderful to just be used once in a lifetime." she says.
Today-in a studio full of vintage Heidelberg Windmill letterpresses-Dauphine Press creates distinctive invitations by combining images from the past and present with beautiful type and exquisite papers. Trish preserves the rich legacy of the printing trade through the resurrection of artisan techniques and heritage craftsmanship that might otherwise be lost in time.
