Chardonnay Golf Club

Courses

Chardonnay Golf Club is a 27-hole golf facility located in the Napa Valley.

With 27-holes of championship golf to challenge players of all skill levels, our Lakes, Meadows and Vineyards Courses represent the premier golf destination in the bay area.

All three 9-hole courses meander through 130 acres of Chardonnay and Merlot Vineyards and feature numerous lakes and creek crossing, a wide variety of native flora and fauna.

Several areas of the property are designed as wildlife preserves and are dedicated to maintaining wildlife habitat among the vineyards and fairways. Sharing the property with the golfers are several species of birds including hawks, kites, kestrels, hummingbirds, and an occasional golden eagle. In the early morning or late evening hours rabbits, squirrels, foxes, our bobcat family on #7 Meadows and many other "critters" stroll through the fairways.

Lakes/Meadows

As the original eighteen holes built here at Chardonnay Golf Club, this course combination is a stern, but fair test of golf. Great care has been taken to accommodate all levels of golfers with four sets of tee decks ranging from 5,361 to 6,751 yards in length. Golfers will find the layout unified and smooth, yet non-repetitive.

The Lakes

Starting at one of the highest points of the property, your view from Lakes #1 will feature views to the north and west up the Napa Valley and the Napa River Estuary. The Lakes, aptly named, has water hazards including lakes and creeks in play for all 9 holes. However, some of these hazards are not water, but working vineyards played as Lateral Water Hazards. Blending three par 3’s, three par 5’s and three par 4’s, the Lakes flows smoothly and cleverly for nine holes, concluding with the fine par 5, number 9.

The Meadows

Starting off with a dogleg left par 5, the Meadows will route you through vineyards, 100 plus year-old Valley Oaks and the rugged Fagan Creek. As with the 1st and 4th on the Lakes, you will again be rewarded with a beautiful vista on the 5th tee, a stout par 3 that plays much like an island green floating amongst the vineyards. Over the final two holes, you’ll experience a tough par 4 test, perhaps the strongest on the property and a risk-reward par 5 that could make or break your round. Either way, you’ll be ready for a well-earned glass of our Chardonnay, a chilled brew and some quality fare from our Chef’s menu in the Sandtrap Bar & Grill.

Meadows-Vineyards

As with other combinations of our three nines here at Chardonnay Golf Club, this course combination is an interesting and fun test of your golf skills. All levels of golfers will find this combination playable and enjoyable, provided they choose the correct set of tees to play from. The Meadows/Vineyards combination ranges from 5,147 to 6,740 yards in length.

As with the 1st and 4th on the Lakes, you will again be rewarded with a beautiful vista on the 5th tee, a stout par 3 that plays much like an island green floating amongst the vineyards. The Vineyards

Playing due west, the first hole starts adjacent to an inspiring one hundred year-old Valley Oak that we often use as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies. As one can imagine, there are vineyards everywhere one looks featuring grapes of chardonnay, syrah and merlot for future vintages. After playing through the vineyards on holes 1-5, plan on crushing your drive over a large lake on the par 5 6th hole. As with the Meadows, the naturalized Fagan Creek comes into play on the 8th and 9th holes, with two crossings on the risk-reward finishing hole. Make eagle here for true capper to your round then head for the Sandtrap Bar & Grill, you’ll be ready for a well-earned glass of our Chardonnay, or a chilled brew and some quality fare from our Chef’s menu.

Vineyards-Lakes

As with other combinations of our three nines here at Chardonnay Golf Club, this course combination is an interesting and fun test of your golf skills. All levels of golfers will find this combination playable and enjoyable, provided they choose the correct set of tees to play from. The Vineyards/Lakes combination ranges from 5,286 to 6,821 yards in length.

The Vineyards

Playing due west, sometimes into the breeze, the first hole starts adjacent to an inspiring a hundred year-old Valley Oak that we often use as a backdrop for wedding ceremonies. Make eagle here for true capper to your round.

The Lakes

Before pounding a drive on the 1st hole, make sure you take a moment to enjoy the view to the north and west up the Napa Valley and the Napa River Estuary. Par on the 9th is always a good score.
