Burgundy House Inn is a distinct French country stone structure located 9 miles north of Napa. Built in the early 1890's of local field stone and river rock, it withstood over 100 years of time and wear, neglect and rehabilitation. Its ideal location at the entrance of the famous Napa Valley makes it a most convenient stopping place from which to explore this magnificent winegrowing region of northern California. The Burgundy House Inn has five cozy guestrooms, filled with antiques, collected over many years. Each with its private bath. Comfortable beds with colorful quilted bedspreads induce a homey feeling of harmony. Once you enter your room, you step into a different world. Fresh flowers will greet you, enjoy a glass of port or sherry, helping you to relax and appreciate the peaceful surroundings.
To start your day fresh and clear, we offer a European breakfast in the "distillery" from 8:30 - 9:30. Should you prefer to enjoy it outdoors in an intimate garden setting, please do so. You are surrounded by hedges and trees and profusely flowering roses. Soak up the sun, enjoy the tranquility and privacy offered. We would be happy to assist you in planning your stay in Napa Valley, which may include tours through the famous local wineries or champagne cellars. For the more adventurous there are balloon and glider rides. Perhaps you enjoy bicycle tours or hikes through the surrounding vineyards or along pleasant forest trails where you might discover stately old homes. The restaurants around Napa Valley are famous for their excellence and will certainly please you. Picnicking along a stream or in a meadow is a unique experience within itself, if you consider the selection of food and wine to choose from. Just slow down, stop and pause to find yourself again.
